No. ShowMeOnMap is a commercial hosted web application and its codebase is not open source. The official MCP client, @showmeonmap/mcp on npm, is open source under the Apache-2.0 license — but the mapping service itself is proprietary.
Live public data sources — World Bank, US Census, USGS, NASA FIRMS, OpenStreetMap, and dozens more — fetched at query time. Values are never pre-loaded or fabricated, every map carries its own source citation, and the full registry with licence status is published on the Data Sources page.
